John Grisham

John Grisham was born on February 8 in 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. John Grisham became a lawyer and he got himself an office in Southaven where he practiced both criminal an civil law. He was also politically engaged at this time and in 1983 he was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives. During his time at MSU he had started on two books, none of them were ever finished. In 1984 he started writing a third. This time he would finish it and it would eventually be known as A Time to Kill which was no success. His second book, the Firm, was finished in 1988. In the same year he started writing on his third book, the Pelican Brief. The Firm would be his big hit, the book that made him famous. Already in 1990, before the book was published, Paramount Pictures paid $600,000 for the rights to the Firm and the rest is history. Cayhall's appeals are nearly over: he has refused all legal aid; preferring to defend himself. At the first he scorns Adam's advances, though the young man clearly possesses an amazing knowledge of death penalty litigation. Over several days of argument, a fragile bond develops between the two, and Cayhall hints new evidence in the case - that he was not responsible for the murders. The Partner
1997 Thriller
It began when he disappeared. But it didn't really start until they found him...

But Danilo had a past with many chapters. Four years earlier he had been Patrick Lanigan, a young partner in a prominent Biloxi law firm. He had a pretty wife, a new daughter, and a bright future. Then one cold winter night Patrick was trapped in a burning car and died a horrible death. When he was buried his casket held nothing more than his ashes. From a short distance away, Patrick watched his own burial. Then he fled. Six weeks later, a fortune was stolen from his ex-law firm's offshore account. And Patrick fled some more. But they found him.
